SANDRINE PELISSIER
Sandrine Pelissier is the latest addition to the Welch studio artists community, and she is happy to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.
She likes to explore working in different media from large acrylic landscapes to smaller limited-edition figure prints. All her work is united by the extended use of patterns and repetitive markings.
The landscape series are aiming to convey the relaxing effect of the west coast rain forest. In most of these paintings, time is made visible with repetitive lines, detailed patterns or scribbles that mark seconds like a metronome.
The figure series are a celebration of the true beauty and diversity of real women bodies of all ages and shapes.
