Welch Street Studios is a one of a kind rental for working artists. Studios are located upstairs at 1178 and 1180 Welch Street and new studios will be available soon on the main floor at 1176 Welch Street.

Many studios will be available and range in size from 100 sq. ft. to 300 sq. ft. and available November 1st, 2026. To make an appointment please fill out the application form in the link below.

Art Studios: 10’ x 10’ $375 + GST
Art Studios: 10’ x 16’ $680 + GST
Art Studios: 10’ x 30’ $1275 + GST

Some of the benefits included are: On site parking, small kitchen, most studios have 18’ high ceilings (with some additional storage space at 9’ height), wide walkways (to show art pieces), mini gallery to feature monthly artist shows (utilizing a hired curator), free wifi, and an artist web page on our website.

Welch Street Studios is located at 1176, 1178 & 1180 Welch Street in the District of North Vancouver; situated on the Spirit Trail, next to the Norgate/Lower Capilano district and is touted the up and coming new artist district. Welch Street Studios are open by appointment only and contact one of the artists to visit. 

North Shore Art Crawl | October 3rd and 4th, 2026!

Now in its 16th year, North Van Arts is thrilled to partner with local studios, galleries, breweries, cafes, and more to showcase over 100 incredible artists in 70+ venues across West Vancouver and North Vancouver.

Welch Street Studios will be participating in the North Shore Art Crawl, 11 to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Our artists will have their studios open to visit and will have on display new art work inside as well as our hallway gallery. It's all free, all weekend long! This isn't just about seeing art; it's a unique chance to chat with the artists. Grab your family and friends and make it an unforgettable weekend of art and inspiration!

GAP is an art gallery in North Vancouver established to make the visual arts publicly accessible and to contribute to North Vancouver's cultural landscape, founded by Brigitte and Henning Freybe.
